The Artisan Behind the Craft

My journey as a maker didn’t begin with leather; it began with a needle, a thread, and a passion for transformation. I spent years honing my skills in garment construction and home decor, eventually finding my creative voice in the high-energy, high-detail worlds of elaborate Halloween costuming and custom drag performance wear.

The shift to leatherwork was born out of personal frustration. When I began searching for equipment that matched my aesthetic, I found a void: gear was either built for strength but lacked beauty, or it was visually stunning but structurally unreliable. I wanted durability, strength and beauty.

A Decade of Evolution

I spent over ten years relentlessly testing methods, breaking materials, and refining my engineering. I didn’t just want to make "pretty" gear; I wanted to build functional art that could withstand the rigors of real use. By combining traditional vegetable-tanned leather cores with modern 3D printing and industrial sewing techniques, I developed a signature style that is as resilient as it is refined.

Pioneering Innovation

I have always believed that traditional craftsmanship should be enhanced by modern technology, not replaced by it. This philosophy led me to become a pioneer of the 3D-printed flogger handle. While I may not have been the first to ever experiment with the concept, I am the only artisan currently producing them on a commercial scale with this level of technical integration.

By engineering my own handles, I can achieve a level of ergonomic precision and internal weight balancing that off-the-shelf components simply cannot match. Every handle is a Love Leather & Lace exclusive—designed for a perfect "throw" and a seamless hand-feel.
